LeBron James: I Had Every Right To Stump Off And Pout Like A Five Year Old When We Lost To The Magic!

When the Orlando Magic whipped the behinds off LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers the other night,  it became very interesting to note how a celebrity athlete takes defeat. Ten minutes after the game had concluded, reporters were telling each other that LeBron James had stormed off the basketball court refusing to congratulate the Orlando Magic players and snubbed waiting reporters. After awhile hanging around the Cleveland locker room to speak with LeBron James, word got out that James had slipped out of the stadium undetected, and on purpose.

LeBron James had this to say about his unprofessional conduct and poor sportsmanship:

“It’s hard for me to congratulate somebody after you just lose to them,” he said. “I’m a winner. It’s not being a poor sport or anything like that. If somebody beats you up, you’re not going to congratulate them. That doesn’t make sense to me. I’m a competitor. That’s what I do. It doesn’t make sense for me to go over and shake somebody’s hand.”
The last time we checked, it was called good sportsmanship to at least pat the back, hug or shake hands with a competitor after a game regardless of who did or did not win. It is really funny that a man who makes his living playing basketball, millions at a time, can’t manage to perform one simple act of professionalism. All of that crap about what makes sense to LeBron James and what doesn’t is a crock!

This guy is supposedly held up and looked upon as a “role model” for thousands of children. Unsportsmanlike-like conduct is unacceptable in amateur and professional sports. So, what LeBron James needs to realize is that the NBA is something way bigger than himself. He needs to suck it up, review the game tapes in his state of the art theater located somewhere on his palatial estate, prepare for next season and spend those stacks.

And yeah, it may be easy for me to say this because I am not a professional athlete with massive ego problems. But if I was being paid yearly for what LeBron James does, the least I could do would be to spit a few “Great Game, Dude!” to the Orlando Magic team and then spend about ten minutes groveling to sports writers!

Gimme a break, LeBron! You’re a whiner and sore loser!
